Abstract

Test anxiety has an important influence on the development of college students' academic performance and physical and mental health. Long-term test anxiety may cause negative emotions such as stress and depression, which may lead to adverse consequences. This paper mainly uses the test anxiety scale (TAS) and quantitative study by questionnaires to investigate the current state of test anxiety of Business English major students in Xuchang University about the final exam during the pandemic period, the problems brought by the situation and the causes of the anxiety. Through the investigation, the study found that business English major students generally have test anxiety, which has a certain impact on their academic performance and physical and mental health development. In addition, teaching content, parents' expectations, time management and self-efficacy are the important factors affecting students' test anxiety. In view of the above situation, we put forward corresponding solutions and mitigation measures from teachers, students and other aspects, so as to promote college students' physical and mental health development and academic success, and escort the training of high-quality talents for the society.
