Mode of plant regeneration from callus was studied in Chenopodium album L. (2n=18; broad leafed cytotype), a semi cultivated crop rich in ?-carotene. Scanning electron microscopic study revealed both organogenesis and somatic embryogenesis from the same differentiating callus lines.
