An evaluation of four Cental African ports is done to determine a suitable port to function as a hub port
in central African region. The research employs port indexing method to evaluate the four ports. The
ports evaluated are the port of Kribi, the port of Bata, the port of Libreville and the port of Pointe-Noire.
There are other models that are also used which included linear regression and linear programming to
provide the final results of the port with the most suitable potential to serve as a hub port. The results
reveals that the port of Pointe-Noire is the most suitable port to serve the central African region as a
hub port.
