Abstract

Host range, geographical distribution and extent of damage done by termites in crop tress and grasses have been documented. Ecofriendly control methods including cultural, biological, chemical and by botanicals were attempted. Natural enemies of termites are identified. Potentiality of predation of both vertebrates was investigated. Birds and ants were found voracious predators of termites. Comparative efficacy of insecticide, and botanical product has been workedout in crops and tree seedling management.
